UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS AT PILGRIM
Friday, February 5 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Pilgrim Parents is our new support and discussion group for parents, led by Brandon and
Shantana. It's a chance to talk with other parents about our joys and struggles, to share
stories, and to support one another on the tough but rewarding journey of parenthood.
Dinner and childcare are provided.
Shrove Tuesday - Pancake Supper
Tuesday, February 16 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Come celebrate the day before the season of Lent with our annual pancake and sausage
supper. With live music and games, it's fun for all ages, so bring your friends and neighbors!
There will be a basket provided for freewill donations.
Wednesday, February 17, at 6:30 pm
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the church season of Lent, a six-week time of reflection and
spiritual renewal prior to Easter. The Ash Wednesday placement of ashes on a person's
forehead is a centuries old practice. It represents our regret for things we should not done,
or should have done better, and it symbolizes our commitment to do better in the future.
Monthly Prayer Group
Wednesday, February 27 at 7:00 pm
This is a new group - everyone is welcome!
At our first meeting, we will talk about ways to pray, what prayer can do for our lives,
and how we can support each other in prayer. And we'll spend a lot of time practicing.
Friday Night Coffeehouse
Third Friday of the Month
Friday, February 19, 2010, from 7:00 - 9:00
Come and unwind in a casual environment with original acoustic music and covers performed
by Pilgrim's own singer-songwriters Randy Roy and Brandon Grafius, plus special guests.
Refreshments and hot beverages are always provided.
Come by yourself, or bring a friend or friends!
All ages are welcome and everything is free.
Our Sunday School Curriculum for February 2010
This month, our “Finding God” Sunday School program will examine stories and teachings of
the Bible surrounding the concept of community. Why is community important for our
religious life? How does God ask us to walk with one another and support one another?
How did Jesus model community in his own ministry?
